On 1 May 2014, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the European Union. From 2004, Poland has received over EUR 82 billion from the cohesion policy, which we have invested in i.a. new roads, improvement of the environment, fast Internet access and development of innovative companies. The funds we received have exceeded the total Polish national contribution over 3-fold. As a result, Poland is the largest net beneficiary of the European Union funds and the average amount of the EU financing per capita in Poland was PLN 8 500.
