Opening of negotiations with the European Commission concerning the Partnership Agreement 2014-2020

On 5 March 2014 negotiations between the European Commission and the Polish government, aimed at the elaboration of methods for best allocation of Community funds in the years 2014-2020, began. Opening of negotiations took place after submission of draft Partnership Agreement by Poland on 20 January 2014. The Partnership Agreement is a strategic document that comprehensively covers issues related to European Funds.

Priorities of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development for 2014

Deputy Prime Minister Elżbieta Bieńkowska presented information on the actions in the field of infrastructure and development to be executed in 2014. Among priorities she listed the completion of negotiations with the European Commission concerning new perspective documents, beginning of the execution of the first package of infrastructural projects and announcing new tenders for road works.

The Polish government adopted draft documents for the years 2014-2020

The Council of Ministers adopted the draft Partnership Agreement, which is the most important document that determines a strategy of using the new pool of European Funds, as well as draft national operational programmes. - Today we are presenting the programme for the leap forward that Poland should take until 2020 – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during press conference after the government meeting. Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Ministers Elżbieta Bieńskowska and Janusz Piechociński.

EUR 82.5 billion for Poland from the new European Union budget

As a result of converting fixed prices to current prices, the amount negotiated during the European Union summit to be allocated to Poland, namely EUR 72.9 billion as part of the cohesion policy, has risen by ca. 13% and now amounts to EUR 82.3 billion.Moreover, we will be granted over EUR 252 million to support unemployed youth.
